Lindsey D. Harris, M.D., F.A.C.S., grew up in Beaumont, Texas. She graduated from the University of Virginia, where she received many awards and scholarships. Dr. Harris returned to Texas to continue her education at the University of Texas Health Sciences Medical School. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the American Medical Women’s Association Janet M. Glasgow Achievement Award. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. While at Baylor College of Medicine, she also received the Stephen B. Schindler Award for high ethical and humane standards and the Everett L. Goar Award for best research. Following her ophthalmology residency, she completed her fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Emory University. Dr. Harris has numerous publications and has presented her research at meetings nationally and internationally. She has served on many boards, including the Board of Trustees of the Houston Eye Associates Foundation, the Executive Committee of the Texas Ophthalmological Association, the Executive Committee of the Christus Foundation for Healthcare, the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Houston, and the Advisory Board of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese Galveston-Houston.
Dr. Harris sees patients at the Gramercy and Memorial City locations.
