Paula J. Phillips, M.D.
Corneal Surgery – External Disease
Dr. Phillips was born in Dallas, Texas. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. She then went on to graduate from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1984. After doing a general rotating internship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Dr. Philips spent her three year residency studying ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgery at the University of Florida. Dr. Phillips continued her medical career in Houston, Texas with the South Texas Eye Physicians, Mann Eye Clinic, Baylor College of Medicine, and Surgical Eye Associates. Along with private practices she has hospital privileges at Ben Taub Hospital, Bayou City Medical Center, and Memorial Hermann Northwest.
Dr. Phillips is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is presently active in professional memberships such as the Houston Ophthalmology Society, Texas Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Harris County Medical Society. During her student career she was awarded the Alpha Omega Alpha Award.
Dr. Phillips practices comprehensive ophthalmology, cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery and was welcomed to the practice as a physician partner. Dr. Phillips is excited to build a successful practice at our Spring Branch location, and is dedicated to improving the lives of you and your family by allowing you to have a more active and fulfilling life.
