Kelly Larkin, M.D.
Kelly L. Larkin, M.D. grew up in The Woodlands, Texas and received her Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Music from Texas A&M University. She then completed her medical education at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Following her ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Dr. Larkin completed her fellowship in Ocular Immunology and Uveitis at Casey Eye Institute at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
Dr. Larkin is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Association for Vision and Research in Ophthalmology. She has won many awards including Outstanding Medical Student in Ophthalmology and Best Research Presentation by a resident in both 2010 and 2011. She has published and presented her research at several national meetings. Her current research includes the investigation of several novel therapies for uveitis, as well as the diagnosis and management of ocular tuberculosis.
Dr. Larkin is excited to be back in Houston with her husband, Dr. John Larkin, an emergency physician, and her daughter, Leah. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Larkin enjoys traveling, hiking, music, reading, and spending time with her daughter.
